Company Overview

TRAK ENGINEERING, INC. is a privately held corporation with our corporate headquarters and sales office in Tallahassee, Florida.  Trak started in business, February 1981, in Tallahassee,  in response to the increasing demand for integrated, computerized fuel management and fleet control.  Prior to this time, there were primarily two competitors that viewed fuel management and fleet control as a sideline business and failed to address the growing needs of this industry. Trak recognized the importance of using the power of the emerging personal computers to harness the large database functions required for these systems. 

With 11 field offices throughout the United States, Trak is the only fuel management company that has a nationwide field service team to facilitate on-site installation and technical assistance. All Field Service Engineers/Onsite Implementation Specialists, are full-time, factory-trained and Certified staff members of Trak Engineering. Depending on our customers’ needs, support is provided by our technicians or by a fully-trained, local service and parts support company. Our employees, in Tallahassee and throughout the United States, are from diverse backgrounds and ethnic cultures.  They are U.S. citizens who live in our neighborhoods, participate in our communities and contribute to our economy. 

Trak’s Research & Development Department is dedicated to refining current technologies and developing new solutions that meet the growing and changing needs of the private fleet owner.  Since our first system, we continue to design, develop, test, manufacture and distribute our solutions from Tallahassee, Florida.  Our number one priority remains our users:  to help them achieve their objectives; to provide them with complete solutions that are easy to use; and to anticipate tomorrow’s needs with today’s solutions.

  • Many different Trak system configurations are implemented on over 3,000 fuel sites throughout the USA
  • The government sector consists of state fleets, county fleets and city fleets. We have many school districts and universities in addition to many utilities companies as well.

  • Our commercial fleet customers consist of companies doing business in the following industries: trucking, telephone, construction, fuel providers, food providers, etc.
